Berlin boy wonder Hans was recruited by South Australia Tourism to welcome back return travellers and residents at Adelaide Airport as the state government re-opened its borders. The state has maintained low case numbers of COVID-19 infections.

Dressed in a one-piece pink glittered suit and accompanied by his signature accordion, Hans entertained returned travellers and residents with glitzy song and dance extravaganzas.

The spectacle gained coverage on Sunrise.

“It was very heart-warming here yesterday. Families were being reunited - you know, people were meeting babies for the first time. It was a bit Love Actually meets the fall of the Berlin wall, You know what I’m saying? And I was David Hasselhoff!,” Hans told Sunrise.
