After many months being away from the stage, comedy and cabaret superstar Hans is finally making his return to audiences with Hans: Disco Resurrection. This disco-fuelled extravaganza will play as part of the Summer Sounds Festival on Saturday 16th January 2021 at Bonython Park, Adelaide, South Australia.
Hans said, “Oh, 2020. What a disappointment! After winning Best Cabaret at the Adelaide Fringe Festival earlier this year (shameless plug!) I had stadium tours booked and ready to go, complete with pyrotechnics, dancing boys and new costumes. But that all went POOF!
“During the global pandemic I've been stuck in Adelaide, South Australia, unable to return to Berlin due to border closures (It's almost like the wall is back up again!). I thought to myself, "Hansy, you need to give the people something to cheer for, and to make them remember why you are a true international superstar."
“So...to say thank you to my adopted homeland, I give you Hans: Disco Resurrection. I have gone a little bit spiritual and re-discovered my one true religion - disco! So come and be born again in a two hour glittering spectacle with my band - The Ungrateful Bastards, my dancers - The Lucky Bitches, and some very special Adelaide Fringe guest acts. Now more than ever it’s time to shake off the cobwebs and party with all the saints and sinners in your COVID-safe groove pod.
