Jessica Rowe has partnered with family-owned Australian retailer Bing Lee as it releases the Bing Lee Australia’s Go-To Meals Report.

Commissioned by Bing Lee, the report’s aims were to learn what nightly meals Australians preferred to eat, and whether we are a nation of ‘masterchefs’ or if we still preferred easy, convenient meals. The findings revealed that one in three Australians (35%) still prefer meat and veggies at their preferred meal choice. This was followed by 15% choosing pasta-based dishes and 13% choosing stir frys.

Younger generations (20%) chose pasta-based dishes as their choice of preferred dishes, with a preference towards vegetarian, gluten-free and multi-cultural meals.

Ultimately, Australians prefer to cook and serve easy, convenient yet nutritious meals for their families. Contrary to what many believe, we are not a nation of aspiring ‘masterchefs’!

As ambassador, Jessica will share the report findings and her own favourite go-to meals - especially for other mothers who, like Jess, are time poor and do not consider themselves to be the best of cooks!

Jessica said: “It doesn’t surprise me that Meat & Veg has taken the title of Australia’s go-to meal. As a proud #CrapHousewife, I’m all for quick, easy meals that my family will eat and not cause my smoke alarms to go off! Pan fried sausages with mash, steak and veggies or chicken breast and veggies in the oven. Also, kids will eat anything crumbed, so schnitzel is also a winner in our household. We’ve recently got an air- fryer which is so simple to use and the perfect way to cook a schnitzel!

“The Bing Lee Australia’s Go-To Meals Report shows that we’re after simple and easy meals that we can cook with a minimum of fuss. And that we want everyday appliances that help us cook the yummy meals, that are easy to use and save us time to focus on what brings us joy!”
